Orgs and Shared Workspaces

This article helps Meshy Enterprise users understand and configure orgs and shared workspaces.

How to Use Orgs and Workspaces

Organizations and workspaces help larger enterprise teams collaborate more effectively on Meshy.
Think of your organization (org) as your company account, and workspaces as separate areas for different projects or teams.

Orgs (Your Company Account)

When you first join Meshy as an enterprise user, you are part of a single org.
Your org contains:

  • Workspaces – dedicated spaces where teams can collaborate on their own assets and workflows

  • Members – everyone who has access to your company account

  • Usage Data – consolidated details on credit consumption tasks per org user as well as trending credit balance movement across both web app and API

  • Settings – company-wide controls like Single Sign-On (SSO) and asset sharing

Each org has one Org Owner (the highest-level administrator). Org Owners can assign additional Org Admins to help manage members, workspaces, and settings. Org owners and org admins may view and configure org-specific information, while
regular Org Members may only see and access the workspaces they are assigned to.

All Org Owners and Org Admins automatically belong to every workspace in the org by default.

Workspaces (Your Team Areas)

A workspace is a dedicated space within your org—often used for a project, game title, or team.
Each workspace has its own:

  • Members – only those invited have access

  • Assets – visible only to members of the shared workspace

  • Admins – workspace-specific admins who manage membership and settings

Workspaces currently only display 3D model assets. Draft 4-view renders and image results are not shown in shared workspaces.

You can switch between your personal workspace ("My Workspace") and shared workspaces you belong to using the navigation sidebar under your profile picture in the top-right:

Org owners and org admins can directly create, configure, and manage workspaces in the org settings page via the Workspace module:

Moving Assets Between Personal and Shared Workspaces

You can move an asset from your personal space into a shared workspace for further collaboration with workspace teammates.

Note that you may only move assets where the license is Private into shared workspaces.

  1. Go to your personal space, enter the "My Assets" section, and hover over the asset you want to move.

  2. Click the "..." button, then select Move To Workspace and choose the destination workspace.

  3. Once an asset is moved into a shared workspace, other workspace members may view it and collaborate (i.e. leave comments, download, duplicate for further editing etc.)

If you want to edit an asset (remesh, retexture, animate etc.) from a shared workspace, you may duplicate it directly into your personal space. The duplicate asset will appear in your personal workspace where you can safely edit it.

Managing Members and Roles

Org owners and org admins have control over invitations and org/workspace membership controls.

  • Adding Members: Invite new people to your org by email. They join as Org Members upon accepting their invitations. You can then assign them to workspaces.

  • Overview of Roles:

    • Org Owner – full access, including transferring ownership (belong to all workspaces automatically)

    • Org Admin – manage org members, settings, and workspaces (belong to all workspaces automatically)

    • Workspace Admin – manage members and settings for that workspace only

    • Member – access limited to their assigned workspaces

  • Removing Members: Org Owners and Admins can remove or suspend members. Workspace Admins can manage membership only for their respective workspaces.

Limits and Tips

  • You can create up to 10 workspaces per org.

  • Each workspace can have up to 200 members.

  • Every org must always have one active Org Owner.

  • Org owners may transfer their org owner role to another org admin if they want
