Meshy Agent Help: Missing Tab & Prompt Tips

Meshy Agent troubleshooting: missing Agent tab, better prompts and current limitations

Meshy Agent (Beta) lets you describe a goal in plain language and have it plan and execute a multi-step 3D creation workflow for you. Because it's still rolling out, some accounts don't see it yet, and prompt phrasing has a big effect on results. This article covers the access checklist, how to write better Agent prompts, what Agent can and can't do today, and how to report issues.

Access checklist

If you don't see the Agent tab in your sidebar, check the following before assuming it's broken:

  • Confirm you're logged into the account the feature was enabled for — Agent is rolling out gradually and may not be on every plan or account yet.

  • Refresh the app and clear your browser cache; the sidebar can be stale after a rollout.

  • Check you're on the latest version of the web app rather than a cached or offline tab.

  • If it's still missing after these steps, contact support with your account email so we can confirm your rollout status.

Sidebar URL

Once enabled, Agent appears as its own entry in the left sidebar of the Meshy web app, separate from Text to 3D and Image to 3D. Bookmarking the Agent workspace URL directly can help if the tab is ever visually hidden by a narrow window or browser zoom level.

Examples

Agent works best with a clear end goal rather than a single-object description. For example: "Create a low-poly treasure chest with a lid that opens, textured for a mobile game" gives Agent enough context to plan geometry, texturing, and export steps together.

What Agent can and cannot do

Agent can chain together generation, retexturing, and basic refinement steps automatically. It cannot yet guarantee frame-perfect topology for animation rigs, and it does not replace manual control when you need precise control over every generation parameter — for that, use Text to 3D or Image to 3D directly.

3D print and game prompts

For 3D printing, mention that the model needs to be printable (e.g. "solid, watertight, no floating parts") so Agent favors printable topology. For game assets, specify the target engine or platform (Roblox, mobile, VR) so Agent can bias toward lower poly counts and simpler materials.

Feedback and reporting

Since Agent is in beta, its behavior changes frequently. If a run produces unexpected results, use the in-app feedback option on that Agent run so the team can review the specific prompt and output together.

FAQ

1. Why don't I see the Agent tab yet?

Agent is rolling out gradually. Confirm you're on the right account and the latest app version, then contact support if it's still missing.

2. Can I use Agent for precise, single-step generations?

You can, but Agent is built for multi-step goals. For a single precise generation, Text to 3D or Image to 3D gives you more direct control.

3. Does Agent support 3D printing and game-ready output?

Yes, if you specify that intent in your prompt (printable, low-poly, target engine) so Agent can plan accordingly.

4. How do I report a bad Agent result?

Use the feedback option on the specific Agent run so the team can see the exact prompt and output.
