Meshy Credits Used or Refunded: Task Rules

Credits are Meshy's internal currency — deducted when you run a generation task and automatically refunded in certain situations. This article explains exactly when each happens.

When Credits Are Deducted

Credits are charged at the moment a generation task is submitted and begins processing.

Credit Usage Order

Meshy always spends your Monthly Credits first. Once those run out, Permanent Credits(purchased or awarded) are used automatically. You can check both balances in Settings → Subscription→ App Usage History

When Credits Are Refunded

1.Task Failed Due to a Technical Error

If a generation fails because of an error on Meshy's side, your credits are automatically refunded in full. You will see a "task fail refund" entry in your App Usage History reflecting the returned amount.

2.Task Cancelled Before Processing Starts

If you cancel a task while it is still waiting in the queue (processing has not yet begun), you receive a full credit refund.

If the task has already started processing, cancellation does not trigger a refund.

When Credits Are Not Refunded

No refund is issued for:

  • Generations that completed successfully but did not meet your expectations — use your plan's free retries instead (Pro: 4 retries, Premium: 12, Ultra:40, Studio: 8 retries, Enterprise: unlimited)

  • Tasks cancelled after processing has already begun

FAQ

1.How to verify your credit activity?

To review all credit deductions and refunds:

  1. Log in to your Meshy account at meshy.ai.

  2. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.

  3. Go to Settings → Subscription.

  4. Scroll down and select App Usage History.

The log shows each task's date and time, task type (including refund entries), credits deducted or returned, and your running balance.

2. How to check the credits consumed by API?

Go to Settings → API → Usage to view your API credit consumption.

3. If my generation was blocked due to content filter, will my credit be refunded?

Yes. If a generation is blocked and shows "content review did not pass," we won't charge you any credits.

4. Will download models cost credits?

No. Downloading models doesn't cost credits. However, Starter plan users have time limits on downloads, while Pro and above plans have unlimited downloads.
