Overview
The Meshy Roblox Bridge lets you transfer 3D models directly from your Meshy workspace to your Roblox account — no manual downloading or re-uploading required. This article covers connecting your account, sending models, finding them in Studio, and resolving common errors.
Note: The Roblox Bridge is available to Pro members and above. You also need the Meshy Roblox Bridge desktop app installed and running before you begin.
Prerequisites
Meshy account on the Pro plan or higher
Meshy Roblox Bridge app downloaded and running on your computer
A Roblox account
Step 1: Connect Your Roblox Account
In your Meshy workspace, open the DCC Bridge menu.
Select Send to Roblox.
Click Connect in the dialog that appears.
A Roblox authorization page opens in your browser. Complete the OAuth flow:
Log in to your Roblox account.
Review the requested permissions.
Select the account to authorize.
Confirm and grant access.
Click Done.
The Bridge app will confirm the account has been connected successfully.
Switching Accounts
To connect a different Roblox account, use either method:
Via the Connect dialog — Click Switch Account at the bottom to disconnect and restart authorization.
Via the DCC Bridge menu — Hover over the Roblox item and click the user-switch icon.
Step 2: Prepare and Send Your Model
Recommended Workflow
For best results, complete your model in this order before sending:
Generate → Remesh → Texture
Remeshing reduces polygon count and file size, which helps keep the exported GLB under Roblox's 20 MB upload limit.
Sending a Model
Navigate to the model you want to send in your Meshy workspace.
Open the DCC Bridge menu and select Send to Roblox.
Wait for the upload to complete — this typically takes under a minute.
Both workspace-generated models and community models can be sent via the DCC Bridge.
Step 3: Use Your Model in Roblox Studio
After a successful upload, the Bridge app displays quick actions:
Copy Asset ID — Copies the Roblox asset identifier to your clipboard for reference in scripts or Studio.
Creator Hub — Opens Roblox Creator Hub to manage the asset in your inventory.
Open in Studio — Launches Roblox Studio with a temporary scene containing your uploaded model.
Tip: Web preview in Creator Hub may not display textures correctly for larger models. Textures render as expected inside Roblox Studio.
To locate a model manually, go to Toolbox → Inventory → My Packages in Roblox Studio.
Upload History
The Bridge app keeps a local record of all your uploads. From the history view you can:
Copy Asset ID, open Creator Hub, or open in Studio with one click.
Delete an individual record using the ✕ button.
Remove all records with Clear All.
Note: Upload history is stored locally on your machine. Clearing it does not delete assets already uploaded to Roblox. Only models from the currently connected account are shown.
FAQ
1.How to fix when I see "Bridge not running" message?
Cause: The Bridge desktop app is not open.
Fix: Download and launch the Meshy Roblox Bridge app, then try sending your model again.
2.How to fix when Authorization popup is blocked?
Cause: Your browser is blocking the Roblox authorization page.
Fix: Allow popups for Meshy in your browser settings, then reconnect your account.
3. What should I do if model exceeds the 20 MB limit?
Cause: The exported GLB file is too large for Roblox's upload limit.
Fix: Use the Remesh feature in Meshy to reduce polygon count before sending. Lower resolution settings during download also help.
4.What should I do if upload timeout?
Cause: Processing exceeded 3 minutes.
Fix: Check Creator Hub — the asset may still be processing and could complete on its own. Wait a few minutes, then refresh your inventory.
5.What should I do if I lost connection to Bridge during upload?
Cause: The Bridge app became unresponsive mid-upload.
Fix: Restart the Bridge app and retry the upload.
6. How to fix "upload failed" error?
Cause: A Roblox API error occurred.
Fix: Verify the Bridge app is running and your Roblox account is still connected, then retry. If the error persists, disconnect and reconnect your account.
