Meshy AI Help Center: AI Prompt Helper

Overview

The AI Prompt Helper is a powerful feature within Meshy designed to help you create more detailed and effective text prompts for your 3D models. Whether you're a seasoned 3D artist or a complete beginner, this tool is your best friend for generating stunning and accurate results.

The AI Prompt Helper works by analyzing your input and suggesting additional descriptive words, styles, and details that can significantly enhance the quality of your generated models. It's a great way to overcome "creator's block" and explore new creative possibilities.

How to Use the AI Prompt Helper

The AI Prompt Helper is seamlessly integrated into the Text to 3D generation workflow. Here's a step-by-step guide:

  1. Start a New Model: From your Meshy workspace, click "New Model" and select the "Text to 3D" option. From there, click the Helper icon:

  2. It will then launch the following:

  3. 4 prompt starters will appear: Batch Prompt, Change Prompt Style, Image to Prompt, Expand Prompt. Select the appropriate one for your needs. You can also toggle between each one from these icons:

  4. Enter Your Base Prompt: In the text box, enter a simple, clear description of the object you want to create. For example, you might type: "a dragon."

  5. Activate the Prompt Helper: As you type, the AI Prompt Helper will automatically appear, suggesting keywords and concepts related to your text.

  6. Select Keywords and Styles: You can click on the suggested keywords to add them to your prompt. These might include:

    • Styles: realistic, cartoon, low-poly, pixel art

    • Materials: gold, ceramic, stone, rusted metal

    • Details: glowing eyes, sharp claws, t-pose

  7. Refine and Generate: As you add more details, your prompt will become more specific. Once you are satisfied with your detailed prompt, click "Generate" to create your 3D model.

Tips for Getting the Best Results

  • Start Simple: Begin with a broad concept (e.g., "a wizard") and then use the Prompt Helper to add layers of detail.

  • Mix and Match: Don't be afraid to combine different suggested keywords. For instance, you could combine a style like "low-poly" with a material like "obsidian" to create a unique aesthetic.

  • Use Reference Terms: The Prompt Helper can often suggest reference terms. For example, you might type "in the style of" and see suggestions like "Pixar," "Hayao Miyazaki," or "Blizzard."

  • Focus on a Single Object: For the most predictable results, concentrate your prompt on a single object or character rather than an entire scene.

  • Experiment: The AI Prompt Helper is a creative tool. Try different combinations of keywords and see what new ideas emerge. You might discover an unexpected style that perfectly fits your project!

Troubleshooting

  • Prompt is too long: If your prompt becomes too long or complex, the AI may have difficulty interpreting it. Try to focus on 3-6 key descriptive details for the best outcome.

  • Unexpected results: If the generated model isn't what you expected, try refining your prompt with more specific details. You can also remove keywords that might be confusing the AI.
