Meshy's Free plan lets you explore AI-powered 3D generation at no cost. This article covers everything included — credits, downloads, licensing, and what's available exclusively on paid plans.
Credits
Free plan accounts receive 100 credits per month. Credits reset automatically on the 1st of each month at 00:00 UTC and do not carry over to the next period. Additional credits can also be purchased on the Free plan.
Monthly Download Limit
Free users can not download Meshy 6 models but can download up to 10 models/month generated with Meshy 5 under the CC BY 4.0 license qualify toward this limit.
The download counter resets on the 1st of each month at 00:00 UTC.
If you click "Download" on a Meshy 6 model and see a paywall, this is expected — you'll need to upgrade your subscription to download Meshy 6 models.
Private Licensed Models from a Paid Plan
If you created private licensed models while on a paid plan, you can still download those an unlimited number of times — even after downgrading to Free.
Earning Downloads Through Campaigns
Meshy occasionally runs community and marketing campaigns where Free users can earn permanent downloads for Meshy 6 models as prizes. Stay tuned for announcements in our community channels.
Licensing
All models generated on the Free plan are licensed under CC BY 4.0. You may use them commercially, but you must credit Meshy when doing so. For private asset ownership with no attribution requirement, you'll need a paid plan.
Upgrading Your Plan
If you need more credits, Meshy 6 downloads, API access, or private licensing, upgrade to a paid plan at any time.

1.Can I use models I generate on the Free plan for commercial projects?
Yes, with attribution. All Free plan models are licensed under CC BY 4.0, which allows commercial use as long as you credit Meshy. If you need models without an attribution requirement, you'll need a paid plan.
2.Do unused credits roll over to the next month?
No. Credits reset on the 1st of each month at 00:00 UTC and unused credits expire. There's no way to carry them over on the Free plan.
3.Why can't I download my Meshy 6 model?
Meshy 6 downloads are not included in the Free plan. If you see a paywall when clicking Download on a Meshy 6 model, you'll need to upgrade to a paid plan to access it.
4.I've hit my 10-download limit. What are my options?
You can either wait until the 1st of the next month for your limit to reset, or upgrade to a paid plan for higher download allowances and access to Meshy 6 models.
5.Can I access the Meshy API on the Free plan?
No. API access is available on Pro, Premium, Ultra, Studio, and Enterprise plans only. The Free plan is limited to the Meshy web app.
6.I downgraded from a paid plan. Can I still download my old private models?
Yes. Private licensed models you created while on a paid plan remain downloadable an unlimited number of times, even after downgrading to Free.
7. How do I know when my credits or downloads reset?
Both reset on the 1st of each month at 00:00 UTC. You can check your current usage in your account dashboard.
8.I’ve completed the payment, but my account still shows a Free subscription tier. Why is this happening?
Your recent payment should be only for a credits package and does not include a subscription. If you’d like to switch to a paid tier, please complete a dedicated subscription upgrade.
