Why can't I download my model?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

There are a few reasons why downloading a model might be blocked or unavailable. Here's how to find out what's going on:

1. Download limit reached (Free plan)

Free users can download up to 10 models per month β€” but only models generated with Meshy 5 under the CC BY 4.0 license qualify toward this limit. This counter resets on the 1st of each month at 00:00 UTC.

Models generated with Meshy 6 cannot be downloaded on the Free plan. If you click Download on a Meshy 6 model and see a paywall, this is expected β€” you'll need to upgrade your subscription to download Meshy 6 models.

If you've used up your 10 free downloads, consider upgrading or waiting until the 1st of next month for your limit to reset.

Note: If you created private licensed models while on a paid plan, you can still download those an unlimited number of times β€” even after downgrading to Free.

We also run community and marketing campaigns where Free users can earn permanent downloads for Meshy 6 models as prizes. Stay tuned for updates.

2. Browser or extension interference

Some browser extensions (ad blockers, privacy tools, VPNs) can interfere with downloads. Try the following:

  • Refresh the page and try again

  • Disable any browser extensions that might block downloads

  • Try a different browser (e.g., Chrome or Edge) to see if the issue persists

3. Server error when downloading

If you see a server error when clicking Download:

  • Refresh the page and try again

  • Wait a few minutes and retry β€” it's usually a temporary issue

  • If the error persists across multiple models, contact [email protected] and include the URL of the model you're trying to download

4. Files missing from your download (e.g., PBR textures)

If your downloaded zip is missing textures or PBR maps:

  • Make sure the PBR toggle was enabled during the texturing step

  • Re-run texturing with PBR enabled, then download again

  • If files are still missing, contact [email protected] with your model URL

5. Meshy 4 has been retired

As of March 2026, Meshy 4 has been completely retired and is no longer available for use. You can no longer generate new models with Meshy 4, and any Meshy 4 generation features have been removed from the platform.

If you're having trouble downloading a model that was previously generated with Meshy 4, please contact [email protected] with your account email and the model link and we'll do our best to help.
