Resizing and Repositioning Models in Meshy
Updated over 2 months ago

Models generated by Meshy come in a standard size within a range between -1 and 1. However, you may need to scale or reposition your model for different applications, such as game engines and 3D printing.

Meshy provides built-in tools to make these adjustments easily before downloading your model:

  1. Enable Resizing: In the Download Settings panel, toggle the Resize option.

  2. Set the Desired Height: Enter the height you need for your model. You can also choose a desired unit among mm, cm, m, in, and ft.

  3. Auto Size: Click the button to the right of the unit selection to let Meshy automatically determine the real-life size of your model.

  4. Adjust the Origin: Choose between Bottom or Center alignment to define the model’s reference point in 3D space.

  5. Select File Format & Download: Once satisfied, choose a file format and click Download to save your model.

If further adjustments are needed after downloading, you can modify the model in software like Blender, Unity, or Unreal Engine.
