My Payment Was Declined — What Should I Do?

Learn what to do when your Meshy payment is declined — common causes include outdated card info, bank blocks, 3D Secure verification, and how to fix each one.

If your payment was declined, don't worry — this is almost always caused by a card-side issue rather than a problem with Meshy. Here are the most common reasons and how to fix them.

Common Reasons for Payment Declines

1. Insufficient Funds or Credit Limit

Your card may not have enough available balance to cover the charge.

Fix: Check your balance with your bank, or try a different card.

2. Bank Blocking the Transaction

Banks sometimes block unfamiliar international transactions as a precaution — especially for first-time charges from a new merchant.

Fix: Contact your bank, let them know you're authorizing the charge, and then retry the payment.

3. 3D Secure (3DS) Verification Required

Some banks require additional identity verification before approving online transactions — such as a one-time code sent to your phone.

Fix: Retry the payment and follow any verification prompts from your bank.

4. Card Not Supported for Online Payments

Prepaid cards, some virtual cards, or cards issued in certain regions may not be accepted.

Fix: Try a different card, or use an alternative payment method such as PayPal, Apple Pay, or Cash App Pay where available. See What Payment Methods Do You Offer? for the full list.

FAQ

1. Will I be charged for a declined payment?

No. A declined payment means the transaction was not completed — no money is taken from your account.

2. My bank statement shows a "pending" charge even though my payment was declined — why?

Some banks place a temporary authorization hold that looks like a charge. This hold typically clears within 1–5 business days automatically. If it persists beyond that, contact your bank directly.

3. My card works on other websites — why is it failing on Meshy?

Your bank may apply stricter rules for certain merchant categories. Contact your bank, mention you're completing a subscription payment to Meshy, and ask them to approve the charge, then retry.
